  Charmingly old-fashioned, by which I mean they close for lunch, which I haven’t seen a a bank do since the 1970s

  Totally disinterested. Unfortunately my company banks with ANZ as a result I regularly have to go into mittagong branch. The hours aren't friendly for basically any "worker". They work 6.5hr opening hours but take a 1hr lunch break right during the time of day that any one that does work would be available to go. They constantly have long waits with numerous employees seemingly doing nothing while 1-2 tellers are trying to clear long queues. Constant attitude from most employees. On one occasion I have witnessed them have an elderly woman wait in queue then be told to take a seat so they can clear the remainder of the queue because her enquiry wasn't "straight forward" then when her enquiry seemed too hard for them to "deal with" 15mins before their closing time she was told she had to come back another time!
  They just don't seem to care about their customers at all just their lunch breaks and finish time! I loathe dealing with this branch.

  Unhelpful, rude customer service. No understanding of customer service. I will never use again. Westpac and commonwealth bank offer superior customer service

  They are short staffed but that is not within their control. Wait times can be a few minutes but in the circumstances that is understandable. Avoid the usual peak times and all is well.

  Really disinterested bunch in this branch !!! I am down in Bowral temporarily and have banked with ANZ for many years out of the Chifley square branch. I needed to change some areas of my portfolio so I visited the Mittagong branch today… I waited and waited and waited while the one teller tried to service the long queue … there were five other staff member in the bank sitting in various offices …. I did not need a teller I needed more personalised assistance however after waiting roughly half an hour and the line had not moved I left….. I have since transferred a substantial amount of my portfolio to a different institution. Just not good enough ANZ …. Sydney branches would never be guilty of this kind of shocking service….. Im actually thinking of closing the lot of my accounts with ANZ ….at least while I’m in the highlands……your not looking after your savings customers anyway …. Let’s see what happens when I’m back in sydney !!
